The MRI group at the University of Bonn develops contrast methods and enhancements which are based on the influence of ultrasound on the MRI signal. We can distinguish between three topics of research

• MR-rheology: visualisation of viscoelastic properties of the human brain
• combination of MRI and ultrasound to gain information about the elastic properties of tissue
• finite element analysis to calculate the impact of acoustic radiation pressure on tissue

Former projects:

• observation of the reaction of a contrast agent to cells or tissue (Blood Pool Contrast Agent)
